WILPF members in Maine celebrated International Women’s Day in Brunswick by handing out flowers with an activist message.
Ellen Rosser details the current situation in both Palestine and Israel. With conditions in Palestine “brutal” and “unstable,” and “in a state of flux” in Israel, she urges WILPF members to keep wishing and working for a just peace.
On March 8, the next ONE WILPF Call will be open to the general public! WILPF members are urged to invite friends, neighbors, co-workers, fellow faith community members…or any progressives interested in system change, election reform, and empowering women leaders. Do you know any young people (ages 18-29) working on anti-nuclear issues and actions locally to you? We have access to $600 for scholarship funds to help one (or more) young person active in WILPF to participate in the ANA's "DC Days" and annual meeting this May (May 20-25) to train and lobby on anti-nuclear issues.
